I have #1 and #3. I never had the rough startup until after the clutch job. The whine is probably gear whine, I have it bad in 3rd.

Lol put another point on the board for Ford problems that dont even seem to affect the car. Anyone ever read the Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck? He called Fords unreliable lol... Honestly i love my stang and all its Domestic counter parts but reliability sure isnt some of their strong points.

I just purchased a used '94 V6, and I have the cold start-up rough idle thing. When I go to crank mine, it acts like it is about to die and runs horribly rough for a few seconds. After is rev it up a little and sit for a few seconds it completely goes away and doesn't happen after subsequent start ups. I haven't had the time due to my job to check the plugs and stuff, but I will be replacing all that next weekend anyway, so I'll find out then if it is the plugs or not.
