My friend drove his car off the road and into a tree..... his car literally wrapped around it head on would insurance cover him?

 

you should probably call the insurance company immidiately after the accident, well after the EMT's of course

 

well here is the thing this happened last night ( I wasnt with him) but he was speeding around hit a curb jumped the opposite curb wrapped the car around a tree and fled the accident...he is telling me insurance will cover it being he was such a complete F*cking idiot I dont think he should be covered by insurance also he was over the legal limit ...

 

Probably not. Depends on the coverage. Most likely even if it was covered, you would only hurt yourself reporting it due to rate hikes after something like that.

 

how's he gonna get a police report to file the claim?

it pisses me off that ****in idiot prickwads like that are the reason i have to carry liability only on my cars cause the rates are so ridiculous.

 

Depending on company, you may or may not need a police report to file a claim.
I was hit by a guy with All State. No police report, just gave me his name and info. They took care of it all plus some. I've delt with so many crappy companies, it was nice to see a place that handled a claim the way they did.

i just assume with how bad the average insurance company dicks people around that they would want a report.

i dunno, if i was an insurance company, i wouldnt cover him, he fled the accident. they might but i doubt it, no accident report and it happened 2 days ago now

 

both of those things are the reasons i would say insurance wouldnt cover it. especially bein over the limit. i doubt they cover it but i guess if they never find out that he was drinkinthen maybe he will get lucky. he shouldnt have left though. its hard to say, wait and find out.
