it just pulls straight off, i believe you have to take off the plastic section around the shifter first...... and then the top half just pulls straight off

hmm....dont know if they changed it from 00 to 02. but mine definatly came off with some tugging without taking any screws out, there are just some metal clips that hold it in

Make sure you take out your airvents on the top of the middle trim and put your hands in the vent holes push down and pull out that will get the top half out easier then p ulling it and possibly breaking the clips holding it in.

Well, in my '02 the vents are part of the trim. All I did was pull the bezel around the shifter off by sort of pinching the edges and pulling away from the radio trim, then all I had to do was carefully pull the radio trim straight out and it popped out. It was kinda nerve racking putting it back in though, it wouldn't sit just right, It still doesn't sit perfect at the bottom, but I guess I never noticed the fitments before.

the vents arnt part of the trim, I took mine out and painted them.

they're just really in there.

the actual vent vents should push stright back and out of thier spots, the more flow(~~) and less flow([X]) has two things in the side of the vent that holds them in.

then when its all painted, snap everything back in.
