i have been getting the code P0171 thrown for the past couple weeks and i cant fingure out what it is...i kno its means lean condition but how is it fixed? i thought it could be the TB gasket since i didnt replace it when i removed it but i just replaced it with a new one and still have the problem

 

you sure you got all the vac lines on right? i dunno if youve messed w/ em or not. its "System too Lean (Bank 1) " i duno wich is bank one though...

 

try cleaning your MAF, when mine went bad i got that code

 

clean you MAF, change your fuel filter, make sure you air filter is in correct...and bank 1 is the right bank when you are looking at the car from the front

 

well i noticed my gas seems liek its gettin worse mileage and i think my car is running rich becuase i revved it and my friend was standing behind and his leg got covered in black stuff and my rolled tips are all coated in carbon....im stumped becuase the code says lean
