My girlfriends 96 v6 stang is using a lot of gas. i changed the fuel filter, air filter, plugs, wires, cam position sencor, had her cats checked to see if they were clogged, nothing. there is no mis fire and it does not run rough. n e ideas????????/ please help gas is expensive

Check the fuel filler neck, they tend to leak at the seal on the tank.

just replaced it not to long ago and it is not leaking from there

oil change affects my mileage

also how the car is driven of course

tire wear, moving parts may need lube

all things can factor in

had the oil changed, new tires, the gas millage is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!1 worse than my 92 5.0 at wide open throttle (exaderating) but i think my 92 5.0 gets better gas millage.

its funny cuz wheni was rear ended, my mileage took a cliff dive, but once the repairs were done, it got good again

maybe the pipes need to be cleaned, but i think you said you did that already

maybe electrical is cutting out, bad gauge, maybe its not as bad as you think at its the gauge malfunctioning

i dont think so beacause when i fill it up it is at the full line the it falls gracefully (nice choice of words) like its a race to the E. should i try and rest the computer by disconnecting the battery for a few hours?

im not sure. i will find out tommorow and let u know. but it is crappy. it was getting ok gas millage then she brought it to my attention and i notice it is suckin a lot of gas
