Default Conversion help!!

my 3.8 is ****ed again, Not only did I just spend forver replacing my upper intake, lower intake, radiator (basically all of my car cooling necessities) I drove my car for one day and now its totally dead. It made this noise like I dropped a bolt into it and then shut off. Thanks officer b**** for giving me a ticket for my dead car BTW. Anyways, now my car wont start at all, and its dead. My question is this. Would it better to just upgrade to a 5.0 and stop blowing things in my lil 3.8? and if so, what else would I need to do it?

What year?
I'd do a 4.2L swap if I were to do one.

The 94/95 cars take to the 5.0L better than the later models, that is for sure. I guess the motor choice would be up to you.
