cold air intake problem

Default cold air intake problem

about a week agoI just installed a K&N cold air intake on my 3.8L stang andI notice that when I let the gas off to let the car idle down it gives me a jerking motion I cheked my MAF sensor and itpassed i am running outof any ideas anyonethat can help i would begreatly appretiated thanks

my car used to do it and it went away, i think K/N really shows it

You need to put the MAF screen back in front of the MAF.

You can try the IAC mod to help the RPM's fall quickly and the exhaust to sound a little better.

Do a search for IAC in the V6 forums, heck there is an active thread right now for the IAC mod.

Its an easy and inexpensive mod.

I wouldn't do another mod till you get it running right. You could end up making it worse and not know what caused it. Put the screen back in and see if it's running good first then move on to other mods.
