Default damn engine code too lean

Ok for the past 2 months my car has been throwing the P0171 code which is fuel system too lean.....someone told me it is a vaccum leak or air entering after the MAF...i checked the whole inlet tube for leaks and changed the throttle body gasket and it is still throwing the code after i dissconnected the battery...any other things it could be?

Check your MAF sensor, fuel filter (may be dirty and cloged causing less fuel to be delivered to the injectors), fuel pump may be bad, and the stock fuel pressure regulator may have a problem. Look at all those then get back with us.

I'd be getting the fuel delivery system checked then. Something is not right with it, that or it's a bad gasket somewhere.

Yep, also a bad gasket somewhere, small vacume leak on any one of the 10 billion vacume lines, and or one of the 10 trillion sensors on the car.

Could be a number of things. Intake leak (bad gasket or cracked intake), improper sealing of air intake after the MAF, You already looked at the throttle body gasket, what about your IAC gasket? Fuel pressure and Fuel injectors as well.

I had the same issue a few weeks ago when I got some bad gas. Filled up with good stuff, ran it a bit and cleared the code with my Xcal, code hasn't popped up again.
