That TB is gonna be useless unless your port it to match your upper and lower intake.

+1

Do not waste your money modding a V6, especially a 2000 V6!
The 99-00 Stangs had major design issues affecting the longivity and performance of the car (Y2K hit Ford computers maybe?)

If you can sell your car and get an 01 or newer GT, go for it, the price difference will not be vast if you shop wisely.

Maybe a tuner to tie everything in together.

I have a 2000 and have been modding for 2 years now and no problems have risen. Just gotta know how to get around Fords screw ups.

Tell me about it. I have a 99 V6 convertible and I have spent around 2 hours every weekend for the past 3 months patching things up.
Cant complain too much though! Paid $3700 for it with 100K on it three months ago.

There are some design flows that can make life very difficult. Two good examples are the positioning of the distributor and how that can have the wires touch the manifold and melt, and the PCV valve oil blow issue (my plugs had oil stains and carbon buildup 50 miles after changing them before I added a filter on the PCV line). There are two minor examples, but the list goes on.

yea.. i actually realized the port-n-polish part of the TB.. so i think im going to hold off on that... what kind of tuner would be best for my car?

as far as trading or selling it.. thats a negative..

I am sorry if I offended you in any way with the sell/trade idea. I am a "part time" car dealer so selling and trading is a simple matter for me and I use these words rather lightly.

Though in my opinion the GT is a much better car to tune while the V6 makes a perfect daily driver. Since the cost of tuning is almost the same for both cars, you get a much bigger bang (or vroom) for your buck when working on a GT.
