'94 climate control problem
I posted a question some time ago and I got some responses, but no definite answers. My climate control switch doesn't work correctly. The supply always comes out the defroster port. The correct air type is OK, but for some reason the switch doesn't direct the air flow correctly. I don't hear the vacuum sound you usually hear when you switch say from VENT to DEFROST to A/C. There were 2 or 3 people that responded that they had the same problem. Anyone ever find out what the problem was. I've been lazy thinking it was an expensive fix where the dash needed to be taken out. Maybe it's just the switch. I just didn't want to spend a lot of $$$ fixing it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I had the same problem in my explorer, and my blower only worked on high. I replaced the switch and the linkage under the hood was loose. I think your switch is prolly out, replace it. Its like $5-10 at a junkyard
Check your vacuum lines. My 94 F150 did the same thing. The small/hard vacuum line they use tends to break down over time. The system is spring loaded to default to the defrost position when vacuum is not applied.
