Hi everyone,

I'm going to finally change out my shox/struts. Any thoughts on these:

http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...?idproduct=938

I spoke to the rep on the phone letting him know I had about a 2.5" drop and asked if these shox/struts would be able to handle that set up and provide firm, crisp, solid damping performance for that huge drop, and he assured me it would, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has used these Tokico non-adjustible, high performance shox/struts with their springs. Let me know!

Installed my a few weeks ago with stangsuspension springs, response is phenomenal, and the performance from my shocks/springs is probably the best bang for the buck IMO...

thats a great write up ryan, I saved it to favorites, as I plan on doing H&R supersports and Tokico Illuminas on my vert... a 5.0 fox has the same suspension set up for the most part....

anyway, I noticed you removed the rotor any reason why?

and after you lower it, I believe the supersports are a 1.5 drop, will I need to get my front end aligned at the shop?? I'm gonna try to snag a set of CC plates while I am at it, but I know they are not really really needed, and seeing as how my tires are 66 buck a piece, I am not overtly worried..

You have to remove the caliper in order for the spindle to go down far enough. If you leave the rotor on it will just end up falling off anyway.

thats how i lowered my stang too by cutting the stock springs down, 2.5"/1.5"...see i didnt replace my struts either and like u said it did bounce all over the place for a lil bit but then it stopped bouncing around like it did and now it rides fine now which i thought was kinda wierd? do u know why it did that? i asked this question before and was told my springs may have collapsed?

Did you cut using a torch or any kind of heat?

i used a grinder, i know the rule of thumb of not to use heat of any kinda like a torch cuz i have seen the results even tho we used a grinder which of course creates heat but not like a torch where it heats up more of the area on the spring
