I have a 2002 mustang v6 and i am trying to decide betweenMAC cat backandPYPES 409 stainless steel cat back hooked up to my y pipe. Which of them have the best over all performance, sound, guality. thanks.

i say pypes especially since its stainless, u get looks and great life out of it
and personally i dont like mac
performance will be about the same

I doubt pypes will be any better than macs. I dont know. Go with flowmasters. Thats my input.

i heard that the idle on flowmaster 40 series sucks and do thePYPES sound good at idle and acceleration.

Pypes mufflers have the ricey sound to them,I wouldnt go with pypes ,I had MAC on my sixer and it sounds damn good.

go to google and go to videos and type in mustang v6 pypes its the first video it is a v6 convertible and listen.

It depends on where you live. I live in the middle of texas, so my mac mufflers will last a lifetime, but if you live somewhere with lots of rain or by a beach, you could run into some rust issuies later down the road. I love the way my macs sound and will probally never switch them out.
