Default HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was under the hood yesterday, just lookin around like I usually do, and I decided to take my intake apart, and just look at it and really figure out how it works. Well I put that back together, but forgot to put my maf sensor back together. Well today when I was driving to school I noticed my check engine light was on. Then when I got to my friends house I popped the hood up and noticed that the sensor wasn't together so I put that back together. The problem is that my check engine light is still on. My engine is running great though. Everything is good. Still pulls strong, reacts the way she usually does, and isn't doing a thing to make me suspicious. When I did get to school I popped the hood again and checked my intake again, my spark plugs, and my throttle body just for good measure. I didn't have a chance to check everything else out. I have no idea what to check or what to do. Do any of yall know of something that I should do?

ya, you can disconnect the battery or you can't just drive your car around like normal. The light will go out by itself shortly.

If you take it to the dealership they'll probly charge you. Or they'll make up something and it'll end up costin you. Just unplug the negative side of the battery for 10 min then plug it back on then itll be ok. It happened to me too, when i was putting on my CAI, I dont mess with it tho, cuz I dont want something like that to happen to me.

Say, "NO MOM!" and do yourself. [sm=smiley20.gif]...
...make sure you didn't leave a wire unhooked too.

I will make sure they don't charge me. I'm having a dealer help me, and he told me to bring my tools. Also he is going to show me how do it, so then my mom will really know that I know what to do. So it's going to be my labor and my work. They are not getting my money. It is a good idea to bring my mom along because she wants to talk to a dealer before I buy a CAI. I have to get a name brand one. She is way too protective and a little to weird on things like this. So I can have her talk to him about it so I can get one.

Well alright wasn't going to take the car up to the dealership. The dealer pretty much said "If he can figure out how to take his intake off by himself then I think he can disconnect a battery." Also the light went off when I went to disconnect the battery. Thanks for the help everyone.
