It is a very good mod but as far as installing ti your self, that would depend on your level of ability. How comfortable/experienced are you with working on cars? What have you done?

There is a video that comes with the kit on how to do the install, I would suggest buy the kit watch the video and make a decision based on that. I know one member on here installed his own kit but I don't remember who.

If you follow the instructions its really simple. Like said you just have to be comfortable with possible screwing up your valve body. I would also suggest a new stall also. But if you think automatics are ****ty you cant know that much about trans lol... Automatics win em

on the spacers, the tb spacer wont show anything at all unless you are blown with an all out engine. Intake manifold spacers work better because they are in the right spot, theres somthing technical about it. the air coming in the TB is coming in to fast for it to cyclone too

ive never done a shift kit on a 4R, but on jeep trannies and GM 700R4s if you take your time, read the directions and watch the vid its not really to hard to do but take your time and think abuot what your doing

I prefer to take my car to a shop and have them do it instead of me drilling a wrong hole in my tranny then having to replace it. As far as spacers go here is a good site to
buy them from he has proof to show that they give you a tab bit more horses 3-5 hp http://http://www.vapauto.com/index.htm

you wouldnt have to replace the whole tranny, just the valve body.
