Yes, that's correct. Aluminum driveshafts will offer very little, however, when coupled with gears, an aluminum flywheel, and new clutch, your drivetrain gains will be blatently noticible.

+1 and if you do plan on going FI it would probably be better to do a GT swap and get the 8.8 rear in there. It will already have a LSD so you will only need gears and a seal kit.

Where can a get a detroit that will fir an 02 v6 mustang with 5s-d manual and 3.73 gears and 7.5 rear end
