hey, i have an 1997 Ford Mustang (Base model) and i was wondering what kind of performance parts that i should get. im really new at this and everything, so i dont know that much on which performance parts is good or not. so any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

 

well welcome to the mustang world. most people will say get dual exhaust, gears, shift kit if its an automatic, cai, a supercharger etc

 

i know a place where i can get an custom dual exhausts, one of my friends mentioned to me about it before. and what kind of gears, and what is an cai? and my car is an manual, not an automatic...

 

cai = cols air intake....your really new to the modding world huh?...not just stangs

welcome...have fun with your car. Gears is up to you, I hear most people say 3.75 for manual tranny, but again thats up to you...ASP underdrive pully is also a good mod to start with...dont worry about not knowing stuff we were all there at one point...

well the the most common mod to all cars is a cold air intake
now alot of members on here will say its a waste and that you should just do a K&N filter drop and just cut out the air silencer, which will give you the same hp but you gotta ask yourself somthing
do you want somthing shiney under the hood or would you like to save your money and get other mods?
me? i chose somthing shiney
but either way its like 2 or 3 hp, its really just a good mod to get some throttle response
