I don't care for the Sony Car audio stuff. I'm very partial to Alpine and Kenwood heads. For bass I like pro series Rockford Fosgate Amps and Subs and JL Audio Subs.

 

i got the same one back in november. sounds good plus it has an amp output

 

I had an Alpine in my Stang when I bought it, it was a piece of junk (likewise, my mother had nearly the same model and guess what, POS)...

I purchased a $100 Kenwood for an older vehicle I had, that unit never gave me any problems... I would wholeheartedly recommend a Kenwood...

I just bought a Blaupunkt for my Stang to replace the Alpine, I have had it in for just 2 days, so I can't really comment. But it is feature rich and cost me about $130 (Model is Monte Carlo). But you can find Blaupunkts easily for $99, if you look for slightly older discontinued models they're marked way down...

 

Go w/ alpine if u cant afford the go w/ Kenwood
IF u listen to cd's and radio get Alpine the have the best stuff when dealing w/ head units. kenwood is good for CDs but dont get very good radio reception.
if u plan on geting speakers later i woul say get Infinity kapp. they are very good.

 

my cousin has a clarion deck in his mustang and it works great for him, it looks really nice too
