Need Advice
I just bought a 1998 Mustang w/ a V6.
The car has a little over 94K miles on it.
When I test drove it, the car started up just fine and sounded great, no weird sounds or anything, so I bought it.
Later on that day, it started acting up, and of course, when you buy somthing, you buy it as is, so they won't do anything about it..
What I was hoping is that someone might be able to give me and idea of what might be causing the issue.
The car doesn't like to start right up, you have to try to turn it over, stop then try again before it will start. Then when it's running it makes this weird whining sound that almost makes it sound like and electric car.
Any ideas?

Possibly a bad fuel pump. That could explain the whining noise and the hard starting. You'll need to find out what the fuel pressure should be and then test it to make sure it's right.
It sounds like the starter and such is working and turning the motor over, correct? If it is a fuel issue you might just need a new $10 fuel fitler, but who knows, its worth a shot. It probably has the OE still on it, and 94K could easily clog it up.
