Default Chrome or Ceramic Headers?

Chrome or Ceramic Headers? That is the question. The chrome one seems to be a great deal cheaper but is there a difference? thanks

Are we talking long tube or shorty headers? Shorties, the only advantage ceramic will give is lower engine compartment temps. LT's the ceramics will create better flow than the chrome because they retain heat better. Keeps the engine compartment cooler and gives you more HP than Chrome LT's.

Ceramic FTW. Chrome will rust, and will turn colors in the long run.

I'd say ceramic too, but I just noticed on mine where they make the first bend off the motor they are starting to turn a dull color and looks like they are going to start flaking any time. If that happens they too will rust. I have LT's and they have about 5,000 miles on them.

Well now, that is because they are MACs, not because of the ceramic coating .
