I had them on the inside. it all depends what color and the quality and all. I refuse to use the word ricer, and if you think it looks good totally go for it. In my opinion, i think its good if you have a show car, but nothing else.

I've never put them on a mustang before but I've tried 2 different kits on my mom's eclipse. I don't think they're "ricer", I think the whole point of customizing your car is to make it into something that you like, screw everyone one else.....but anyway, I'm too lazy and it's too dark out to check out mounting locations on my car, but I'm sure it's possible to conceal the tubes just behind the side skirts.....just make sure you mock it up before you start drilling holes or attaching anything. Good luck, and be sure to post some pics.

If done properly and if a color that would compliment your car is picked, then they can look quite nice....but unfortunately most people do duct tape them on and have the tubes showing, or have some garish color that clashes with their whole color scheme. Do it right, take your time, use the appropriate fasteners, and use your head.

If done right they sometimes won't look too bad. A friend on mine installed neons on his and LEDs or w/e inside the car, its def not my style, but it does look good. Its just a 50-50 situation. And don't race thru the installation, you'll be wasting money and a good looking car.
