nitrous question, and tunning with pc
okay heres the thing my friedn ( not a mustang owner) got a nitrous kit, we are going to install it. notice i didnt say try to, we will have to succedd being as how we dont have money for a shop, and lets face it its more fun doing things youself. okay, so does anyone have experience with installing a nitrous system. its on a del sol, and i really dont need information just on that paticular style of car, just nitrous install in general, anything will help.
second. are there any places where i can buy an auto diagnostic and tunning disk for my computer? even if i cant tune it like a flasher could, maybe something where i can detect and read things like air flow coming in, and combustion, things like that, for either obd1 or obd 2 comps. thanks,
anything on these two subjects would be helpful, places to check on the web or personall expeience or whatever.

i installed my dry kit myself....nothin was hard at all.....just my advice is you to study the wire diagram real good and makes sure you get it right the first time...just take your time follow the instructions and think before you do anything..
I've done it too so I would do as wmrcer suggested to be safe and not blow up the engine. Run colder spark plugs and higher octane gas when spraying and don't spray over 15 seconds at a time.
I'm on stock replacements plugs, but I'm using 93 octane, and I have a mail order tune from justin @ vmptuning. I might be considering a dyno tune but I highly doubt I will since I have a new project I should be starting soon. If all goes well I should be taking the venom kit off of my car and place it on another car within a month or so
is it true that a dry kit is not as safe as a wet kit?? oh and sorry that this is just a general question about it because it is going on a honda, but i wouldnt be caught dead on a honda forum....
No, dry kits just don't have the potential to push out as much power as wet and direct port kits do as they require very little tuning for a lower power boost. They also don't have the potential of pooling inside the intake like some high shot wet kits can. In short, they're actually safer and easier to use.
