ok.. need some help here. i got an 04 v6 n i want to get a dual exhaust set up with power n i dont want it to sound like crap.. theres a dual exhaust kit by pypes performance exhaust n it comes with an x pipe with two cats n a catback exhaust sytem.. its a good bye for $700 http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/exhaust.htm but if u go to thier website pypesexhaust.com u can listen to some of tha sounds of the exhaust that they have n i listened to one they put on a v6 n it kinda sounded like a honda... idk if i should juss get that pace setters adapter n get some other brand... help please!!!!

 

Magnaflow is imo and many others on the forum, the best in perf. and sound
its all about opinion though. if you want a reallllly loud and obnoxious sounding exhaust...magnaflow isnt your bag, it has a great deep sound which brings a smile to my face everytime i accelerate or start up the car

www.rpmoutlet.com has it for a relatively cheap price, and it sounds awesome..and looks great too

ever consider side exhaust?? since you have a stock v6 bumper w/0 cutouts, maybe side exhaust is the way to go!

actually it isnt THAT loud
its just loud enought that you know that your packin heat, its a great sound
and i didnt lose any power, i actaully gained a bit, i could feel it off the line after i put it on

 

i juss want power n as much as i can get... i guess that ones good n its at a good price.. am i gona have to fix tha bumper so that they fit

 

u can if u want, i did only because my v6 bumper had a big hole in it(long story) but i got a gt bumper..and it fits pretty good, but if not, you can get the tips bent down, or you can just have them stick out under your bumper

i got magnaflows and they come out under the sotck v6 bumper. not too loud but a good bassy tone. gets real loud at 3000+ rpms. at highway speeds, cant even here it really. call nino @ www.ninosport.com for a real good deal. tell him you are on MF and you want the lowest price possible. pm me if you want to know what i paid.

I have magnaflow muffler with an X pipe and it sounds real good but not too loud. I defiantly noticed a difference in performance with it also. Mine comes out under my stock bumper as well and it looks nice.

 

in my opinion and from what i have been told by v8 owners is that my exhaust sounds pretty good for a v6 its true dual flowmaster 40s 2 chamber, they have a great sounds and good power i think they sound the best ive heard magnaflows and wasnt a fan. but its up to you i get compliments from v8 owners and the first time i out it on the dyno some people thought it was going to whine and were shocked to hear a v6 not whine with true dual exhaust no h or x pipes
