Does the air flow effect how much HP u get because i think that no matter if it is coming out of a y pipe to a catback or an h pipe true dual wont there air flow still be doing the same thing??? I dont understand???

Your stock y pipe takes exhaust from 2 pipes coming fron either side of the engine and shoves it into 1 pipe, of the same size, and out the back of your car. In an h pipe, the air is not forced together into 1 pipe.

Yes air flow affects HP but you can over do it with a free flow exhaust and end up losing power. You need a certain amount of back pressure to scavenge the cylinders properly.

its kinda like take to water hoses put a spliter on them into one and turn them both on you get alot of pressure but you can only flow so much water right well now take them and just run them seperate you get all the water but at a litte less preasure but higher flow now hook twofire hoses too those faucets the water just kinda runs outinstead of flowing ****ty preasure get it its way dumbed down but i think it helps me understand things you want that preasure to help keep your engine effecitent but too much preasure hinders the amount of flow that can be achieved
