The SSM car is obviously a Fox Body but if I'm not mistaken it has their Long Rod motor which is a built split port out of the newer SN95's.

I mentioned it was a Fox because that puts it at a significant weight advantage compared to a 94+ car.

Yes there is a major weight difference between matt's and the ssm fox, i'm not sure about the 94-98's but i know for my 2000 if i wanted to there is a lot you can do to reduce weight and still be streetable such as a tubular K-member, tubular fornt and rear control arms, rear seat delete kit, battery relocation to trunk(doesn't reduce weight but pust alot more weight on the right rear for better launch), remove factory seat belts and replace with 5 point harnesses...etc.
he has a qa1 tubalur k member, tubalur control arms, coil overs upr double adjustable uppers, and solid lowers. the inside is stil stock looking other then the roll cage. he has his back seat so that he can ride his kids around in the car on like weekend and cruises

Basically, I was just pointing out that if anyone was thinking about trying to catch SSM for the fastest N/A car, they've got a LONG way to go.
Not that anyone was thinking about it... I was just pointing it out.
Matt's car is an auto - if you look at it more it's just a manual shift **** sitting on top of the stick...not a real 5 speed. Also, his car only has the backseat for street driving, it comes out for race day.
The SSM Fox and Matt's SN95 weigh about the same. The advantage it to the fox, obviously, but not by as much as one might think.
