Default Moving the 99-00 Spoiler Back Problem

Okay, so I went out the other day planning another mod while still waiting for my dang headers from Mac... AHH! Anyways... I went and started looking at it and measuring it up when I realized, the trunk lid is curved, so as soon as I move the spoiler back it's going to hang off the edges on the sides. Anyone got any pics of this? I really don't want it to hang over because I don't think it would look that great, but maybe it doesn't hang over too much or it looks okay... Thanks

I heard of guys going back 1 1/2 or 2 inches, I went back 3 1/4 inches which is as far as you can go. The only problem i had was when i closed the trunk the edge of the spoiler hung over about 3/16th of an inch on each side and hit the quarters a little so i grabbed my grinder and shaved off the bottom ot the part that hung over. All i did was bairly gring a angled edge on it and it clears perfectly but by going back so far you have to do something about the factory wholes becaue the front one is exposed. However I did have a noticable effect on rear down force at highway speeds, now you can feel the back of the car being pushed down at 70+ mph.

Yeah I looked at the guide and wanted to do it, I just wanted to see some pics if anyone had them! I want to do the mod but I kinda want to see how much it actually hangs over before I do it. I was planning on just covering up the front holes just like the guide said too so if anyone used those measurements of did that I'd like to see how close it gets! It's hard to just set it on top to get a visual with those bolts sticking out on the bottom!

It is not that hard...don't move it ALL the way back! You realize you are moving it as much as YOU want right? You don't HAVE to move it all the way back to where it is hanging over. They invented tape-measurers so you can "measure twice and drill once......."
