NOS???
I was checking out my friends 98 GT. He showed me his setup and i liked it...zex 100 shot(I would go with a smaler one). I wanted to know pros and cons for it...He got it done at a local shop for like 900
Well, you can run 100 shot of nitrous on your engine and it'd be safe, considering your engine is in top shape. Since your wanting to go smaller, do 75 shot. I strongly advise not going above 100 shot though, it could do some serious damage to your engine. I am a strong believer in doing the small things first and going up to the big things. For me, nitrous would be either the last, or next to last thing I would do to my car. It'd be way better if your forged everything also. I'd only use nitrous for legal racing. When I'm done, I'd take it out and put it away.
But, to answer your question, yes, you can do it safely, just be very weary of there would be possible damage that could occur. Nitrous is highly explosive so think about that if you were to get in a wreck.
Good luck,

Do it right and be safe. You'll have to run colder plugs and high octane gas too plus with a 75 hp shot you should get a nitrous tune. You need to retard the timing 2 degrees for every 50 hp which a tune would take care of.

As for nitrous being explosive, its not like in all the race movies like The Fast and The Furious where your car will blow to smitherines.. Ive seen plenty of engine fires with a nitrous hook up. Nitrous itself isnt flammable, but the oxygen causes fuel to combust more rapidly.
