Every tech I've ever talked to about an engine swap has said, "Don't do it, just buy another car."

I've looked into swapping the motor in mine several times and each time I've been told I'd almost need to find atotaled GT with nothing but body damage to do it. The average cost from shop to shop was about $6000. However, each tech told me that my auto. transmission would hook up to the motor with some work. So it can be done, just not cheaply.

Why don't you just buy a 4.2 stroker. I remember seeing a website a few weeks ago with one on there for a little over 2 grand. It would be a lot cheaper and a lot less trouble to drop in a more powerful V6.
