Default 96 side scoops

Now i thought these were purely aesthetic, however on one side my side scoopsvents into the wheel well. It still doesnt do anything, but is this normal? It looks like its stock, it was done cleanly if it isnt stock...

My 94 has some plactics vents on the inside of the wheel wheel where the scoops are, but the air doesn't blow on any thing.

I think that the louvers on the inside of the well are there so the fake vents on the outside dontlook too too fake...

Both of mine are functional, my old 98 sixer, however, didn't have functional scoops. Now what may of happen is either somebody put a functional scoop on the car and didn't finish the project, or a scoop was replaced for whatever reason. Don't know rather or not 96-98 GTs kept their functional scoops, but I do know that the 94-95 5.0s had them, not sure about sixers though. I don't believe that do anything in their stock form, but if the whole plastic piece is cut out and modified, then they could become benificial.
