Default How Much HP??

Ok, got my new truedual exaust installed this week and it sounds so sweeeeeeet!!! How much Horsepower do you think this will make between my exhaust and cold air intake? My buddyhas the same thing on his car and says his makes 170 HP with no other mods. What do you think?

P.S. I fixed my dash light problem that I had from an earliar post on the white guage faces. It was a bad ground wire now they work great.

Well I'll say that the exhaust gave you 4-7 rwhp, and the cai gave you 2, so all in all, let's just say, 7 rwhp. So that puts you at around 122-130 rwhp depending on drivetrain loss.

They don't. A 94-98 sixer will get a maximum of around 6 rwhp, 99-04, maybe just over 10, and remember, that's "MAX" most gains are around 7 rwhp on 99-04s. 05-08 is a little more different, but hey, that's a totally different engine, so I'm not touching this one.

id only invest in a tuner if:

1. you have an automatic transmission

and/or

2. if you have a 99-04 and are putting new gears in the rear end.

not saying its not beneficial for a manual transmission, but i find it way more worth the money if you have an automatic, since it adjusts your shift points, and stall, and what not.

but if you justify spending the money on it, by all means its a good investment.

Well that's also Justin doing the tune work, and needless to say, he knows his crap, so if a pro can only get a maximum of 8 rwhp don't expect a regular person to get more than 5 or so. That's not too bad though for a 94-98, I managed to get a maximum of 5.4 rwhp on my 98, but I also had a nice deal of miles, a partially rebuilt engine due to a previously stupid owner that doged the car, and an auto, so I don't feel too bad with those gains. As stated though, you will not get some type of mystical power gains with a tuner on a stock car. They're excellent for cars that are moded, and or autos, but other than that, quite pointless for the regular everyday joe.
