Default (Borla) Exhaust Ideas

Another exhaust thread....
I live in NJ, i have to stick with cats. so high flow is what I will order. From there... I was thinking X or divorced midping. Do i have to get a catted X pipe?
Supposedly Borla gives this great sound. My favorite clip to date is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-gg2ODQBzg
A member posted it, and i saved it because he said there was Borla's on that stang.

So high flow cats, whats best pipe size? 2.25" seems to be what guys are repeatedly saying, does that hold true when catted?
Finally if i were to order Borla, do you have to get a system that costs $900+ like so?

I dont want farts crackles and loudness. I just want a quality tone that is not stock. My main reason for this post is to find out what to go order, to take to a shop to weld up. Cats are obvious but I pray i dont have to order that expensive system. Thanks in advance for any advice

If you order a catted H/X pipe, then you dont have to worry about divorces duals or any other midpipe setup. From the end of the new H-pipe, an exhaust shop will probably weld that to 1 foot of press bent pipe, then to the mufflers, and then up and over the axel to the tips.

Talk with a shop to get estimates and see what they recommend before you order anything, 2.25 mufflers would probably be good.

Also, you don't need the catback, an exhaust shop will just weld the mufflers in.

If you're going with borla, then you're pretty much going to have to get 2.5" piping as that's how the true dual systems come, the best set up for you since you're running cats would be a V6 h pipe with high flow cats, and GT Borla Cat backs, the h pipe will be a little deeper, louder, and over all better sounding than an X pipe with cats will, x pipes are better off for more moded cars that are running no cats.
