Default Newbie with some questions...

I recently bought a 2004 Mustang 3.8 V6 auto 59000 miles. I have a few questions.

1. When you turn the A/C on the RPMs increase enough to actually launch the car foward while your stopped holding the brakes. I checked the MAF and it was clean. I pulled off the IAC and noticed slight cabon build up on it. Not much, more like a dusting. Is this enough to cause this? What is the best way to clean this? Is there any other thing I can check?

2. When playing a CD the display flickers bad. Not the whole display, just the RDS line and the disc 123456 (6 discCD changer). Not so bad when listening to the radio. The clock and station/counter display doesn't flicker at all. What can cause this?

3. I have a hesitation when shifting into reverse. It ranges from 2 seconds to 5 seconds. This does't sound like much but it is definately noticable. I also have a harsh shift into 4th occasionally. When Istop I notice each downshift with a noticable increase of RPMs which actually makethe car harder to stop, with or without A/C(maybe related to number 1?).

4. Iwant some new rims for this car and I was wondering if rims from a 2005+ would fit?

Thanks for the help!

hmmm not too sure but that surge in rpms (if i read it right) is NOT a good thing

for bigger wheels youll need spacers to make them fit
2005+ wheels are too wide for the new edge

1. no. car has issues

2. no. electrical issues.. or a lose wire maybe a surge? something touching?

3. maybe you need some tranny fluid.. to make it shift easier.. or *thinks*... i will get back to you on that my camaro had that issue.. and it was costly

4. this should be your last thought.. take the car to the shop and see whats up with the problems...
