Default RE: JET performance chips??

As far as chips go, Jet and Hypertech some to mind. The Hypertech is more aggressive (93 octane recommended) as opposed to the Jet (89 Octane). They are probably worth some power, but that might be more evident on an automatic car or one with intake & exhaust work. Heres a link to Summit's 3.8speed partsselecton:
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...2541+%2D127223

They carry both the Jet and the Hypertech. They are $230-250, which is probably what you wouldpay for some divorced duals, but thechip should be worth more power.

Or, you could get a custom burned SCT chip from VMP tuning(~$285 for 2 tunes and ~$300 for 3 tunes.) The power gain might not be more than a off the shelf chip but, it allows you to get a 87 Octane Economy Tune, a 87 Performance Tune, and a 93 Performance Tune all on the same chip and that can be changed on the fly by a **** in the glove box. With that set-up you can ride arond on 87 and get better gas milege or switch for 87 Perforamnce and not have ot worry about higher octane and price. Then if you are feeling like max perforamce, fill up with 93 and turn the ****. Best of both worlds, power and ecomony. Those tunes are just examples, you can get any combo of 87, 89, 91, or 93 economy/performance tunes. Check out their website vmptuning.com

I put a Jet chip in my Ranger and couldn't feel any difference at all. It was a big waste of money, at least in that case anyway.

I am glad the XCAL worked out for you, but since you can not get one for the OP's car the SCT custom-burned, 3 Bank Chip is the closest thing you can get to a tuner, for the money.
