Default HID's

well i found out that the guy i work his buddy owns a shop and he installs hid kits and he is getting me a 8000K plug and play HID kit for my car for $120

he to;d me he has any kits and he would suggest 6000 or 8000 at max (so i wouldnt have to worry about cops here in pa) but he has everything from the 4000 yellow bulbs to the 120000 bright blue/purple

i gave him the money this after noon and il get them on monday and il prolly install them while im at work (midas) and il post pics i took pics when i had stock and then i took pics a while back when i first got my silverstars so il have to post pics so every one can see the diff between the 3

any one have any pics of Hids installed on their car

Grats, I would go with the 6K cuz I like the white much better than the blue, The 6K is pure white with a hint of blue and the 8K is just deep blue. I dont have any pics but I am debating on if I should get HID's or not. To tell you the truth I havent really done anything to my car in a while....

see sig for pic

my headlights are 10000k and fogs are 8000k

3000k= yellow (lemans)
4300k = pure white (brightest color temperature i believe)
6000k = white with very slight hint of blue
8000k= purple in color
10000k = blue
12000k = violet/blue

well i figure i would go with the 8000 iv seen the 12000 but the person had 2 headlight bulbs a hid 120000 for highbeams and halogen for low, i know id get pulled over to much for those so i was between the 8000 and the lemans 3200 but i decided 8000 plus if i change my mind i can just buy a new kit for 120 and just use the new 3200 bulbs and sell the new ballasts and the old 8000 bulbs to some one on here the bulbs are saposed to last forever and are warrantyed and the ballasts are aswell and for the price of new bulbs prolly like 60-80 as far as iv seen i might as well just get a new kit for 120

the guy i work with brought me the hid kit today at work and we were installing them we test fitted everything and the before physically mounting them we tried to turn them on and the ballast was bad they would flicker and **** and we used a volt meter and the power going into the ballast wa good but the power coming out is surging so he called his buddy up and is sending me a entire new kit so right now im rolling arround on 1 HID on the pas side and a stock bulb on the drivers so i guess tonight il take a few pics just to post and show the diff but his friend is sending me a new kit and it should be hear by thurs day he said so hopefully il get it and be able to install it because id hate to be rolling throught ocean city with one hid and one stock bulb
