Default Windstar intake question

To install a windstar intake into my car (2002 sixer), will i need both the lower and upper intake manifolds off a windtsar?? And is the year 1998 a good year to get the intake from? Also if i do this right how much power can i expect to gain? I have a few other bolt on mods including magnaflow dual exhaust, Motoblue 42% UDP, some ignition, and a flash tuner and also a cold air intkae(Whcih obviously wont fit after this mod) ?

Windstar GL'shad some of the best stockuppers. They look like the F-150's but shorter and made of plastic. You only need the upper since you're already split-port.

get one from a 96..98 might be ok too, i cant rmember. but anything higher than that and you will need both upper and lower. if you get a 96-98 you only need the upper. what kind of hood do you have? you need a really tall hood to fit that thing under there. unless you do a ton of modification to the throttle body...

I have the stock hood... im willing to buy another hood for more clearance... Is there a spot for the IAC on the windstar intake? I also heard that i have to move or delete the ECR and something about the PCV... and i dont know what either of those are lol... I have the money to do ths i just dont wanna rush into something i dont have the mechanical skill for... So far on my car ive installed the UDP, cut my springs, installed the CAI, spark plugs, changed oil, rear seat delete... etc. But when i was looking at soem of the things required to do this it was pretty mind boggling. Especially since i dont know what most of it means aha. Im not mechinically challenged or anything i love doing my own work but i dont have that much experience...

you dont have to delete the egr but if you decide to keep it then it takes quite a bit of work, you have to make a bracket ot move the valve down. i came up with the bracket and i can explain how to make it if you want me too. if your state does emmisions checks then you HAVE to keep your egr. the pcv can easily be kept on the car, i wouldnt delete it because it makes the car smell like sh*t when you put little breasthers there instead(aka deleteing it). there is a spot for the iac on the windstar BUT it sticks up very very high so unless you get a very tall hood you will have to move the iac. thats not to hard to do.

Im from Canada so i get emmissions done every 2 years and i did it jsut recently about 2 months ago. Id rather be able to pass emissions than not so i guess im gonna have to keep the EGR. I have found a 1998 intake manifold plus throttle body for under $100, i think im gonna go ahead and buy it. My car is being winterized and i dont bring it to university with me so it stays in my garage at home until about April when i get back... i have a long time to work on it basically so i think i should go ahead and do this. Do you mind if i PM you if i run into troubles with this?

Thanks
