Hey i just ordered an intake off a windstar, and apperently i will be needing a new hood and i have found an amazing deal near me for a spyder X9 hood. My two concerns are A) if it will be high enough to clear the windstar intake and B) Will it look good with a stock body kit and bullit rims??? Opinions anyone?

Thats a nice car but a little over done. I think its a little to much with the rest of the car stock. Doesnt fit in.

 

... yeah hornyhipo has a pic of it... it dusnt look like its really any higher up than the stock hooddoes it... the one im looking at is pretty much the same but its not as extreme... like the features dont extrude so hardcore... Trust me i would get another hood if i can afford it but this one is going for $197 cnd pre primed and everything... you cant beat that price... and i can pick it up... but the issue is that it look slike it doesnt have any more clearance than the stock hood... hereis the pic of the actual hood

the back has some more clearnce it looks like but the front doesnt. the problem is that the front is where you need it. its where the clearance issues come in. you need a cowl, cobra r, mach 1, or steeda q (sumthin)..dont rmember the name. its basicly a cowl with little vents in it.

 

damn... well i tried Thats okay i like the other hoods better anyways aha. Ill keep looking around for any of those...im tryin to think ofwhich onewould look best with bullit rims though...

 

with bullits maby a strate cowl would look the best

 

go to one of the mustang salvage sites and see if they have a cowl hood off of a car
