BRAKES Please respond ASAP
Im doing my girlfriends brakes tonight on her 01 v6. I havent done the new edge brakes yet or on a v6.
Do they have the screw in or push in cylinders? Do i need to rent the tool to screw them in?? Im about to go get the pads in a minute. fast response would be appreciated.

I dont' know why peeps wait until the last minute to ask questions like this.
Front push in
Rears 'Screw' in and require a special caliper tool that attaches to a rachet. You can buy them and it would probably be cheaper in the long run because you won't have to return it to the auto parts store (time and gas) and you can use them for other cars.

Thanks.
And a little FYI i waited till the last minute because my g/f is a blonde dumbsh*t and just called me and said her brakes were scraping. So now i have to do the rotors too.

Well, better her car than yours right?
Hopefully you can get them turned.
Word of caution, if you ever do the rears on the new edge stangs don't remove the loaded spring to make it easier to collapse the piston. It is agony to get it back on.

So did u solve d problem. BTW d brakes just slide into two metal brackets one on each side. Its easy as heck to swap out ,all u need is to unbolt d bottom bolt and lift up a caliper but if u want swap out d rotors as well remove d top bolt too and pull off d rotor.
Thanks guys everything went good. SilvrStang, thanks but i know how to change brakes.. I was just asking if the cylinder was screw in or push in on the front of the new edges. She always gives me the first look that is "Im sorry baby... please dont be mad at me" Then if that one fails she goes to the "Youre not getting any for a month."But luckily for me.. this is the look I got right after I got done with them and took a shower.
