at what rpm would you shift gears in a pretty much stock v6 mustang?

For everyday driving I shift around 2k (I get right at 21 mpg in city) but when racing around 45 - 48k.

I keep it below 2k for daily driving and just above redline when racing.

i shift maybe 2500 max for daliy driving. which could be why my engine got a little hot yesterday. but yea i shift at like 2k when im really low on gas.

48,000 rpms, huh? lol, I'm sure you meant 4800. But why so low? You still don't make max power there.

I shift around 2-3k esp. in the lower gears. Mayve 4k when rolling out onto the highway.

if you shift right b4 redline you may run in to probs with your engine its not ment to do that the pistions are able to only handel so much b4 you screw something up

I shift at 2k for normal driveing or a little below that just for gas reasons it seems like i get ****ty gas mi tho idk why

Yes you do. These engines are OHV so they dont need to go that far into the rpms to achive max power, if anything you actually start loosing power after around 4.5k Search for some dyno sheets. I've seen them on here before.
