Default Spoiler?

I've been going back and forth on whether to get a spoiler. Do you think it looks ok without one or should I get one?

If so, what kind? Also, black or red?

Current look:

i personally like spoilers on our cars so i believe you should get one. Steeda makes a very nice looking one, that along with other exterior mods makes for a very aggressive look. also a 03-04 mach1 spoiler would look very sharp also, even the 99-00 spoiler is attractive. The best part is you can find OEM spoilers on ebay for dirt cheap!

Hey i am from the 4.6 section(i saw your other post). You have the perfect starting car to do a cobra R replica. Front bumper, hood, wing, side exhaust, etc. I would be more than happy to look for parts for you. If you dont know what a cobra R is, here are some pics:

I don't know if I'm ready to completely dive in at this point, but that looks pretty amazing.

I just bought my stang, and at this point it's for the most part stock except for the k&n intake. What do you think is the best way to go as far as whether to improve looks vs performance first?

Thats a question you have to answer first. What do you want? If you want a good lookingcar thats fun to drive but not taken to the track often, then do the basic bolt-ons and visually mod it the way you want. If you do plan on going to the track or autocrossing then forget the looks and start researching what power and suspension mods you need to do. I chosethe first option, i do not go to the track with my car so im doing some bolt-ons and tweaking the apperance. It suits what i want from this car, later on i may purchase a gt, mach, or cobra but for now im happy with the six...

I'm not planning on taking it to the track, so I guess my focus would be on visual mods. What would you recommend for appearance? I'm thinking wheels, tail light tint, chin spoiler, what else?

And as far as performance, if I were to get a new exhaust, does it even make sense to go with dual on a v6?

Id say for that car, you NEED to drop it if your going to pull off the spoilerless look. Else, you can get a black 01+ spoiler and add some other black accents and it would look very nice. Also i dont think the AR rims are cutting it for that car.

I think it looks badass from the back, but not so much from the side...[sm=teetertooter.gif]

I think I am going to go for the black accented look. But if I were to drop it, how many inches would you say?

Totally agree about the rims. Previous owner put those on, and the tires are brand new, so not quite ready to replace those. Do you think black rims would complement the look I'm going for, or stick with shiny? And would 18"s be good?

Haha, yeah I think so too. I like what you did with yours on the back. Is it painted or no? I think that would look cool with the tail lights tinted
