I've heard a lot of people using Simple Green. You can get it at Walmart, Target, AutoZone, etc. You spray it on there, let it soak in a bit, then rinse off with a hose.

I really want to use it on mine, but I'm terrified I'm going to get something wet that shouldn't get wet.

Maybe someone will post tips for both of us.

Gunk Foamy Engine Brite. Follow the directions on the can, which I think are: cover any ignition components and use while engine is cold. I may be wrong on those though, but the stuff works. Dont use the regular non-foamy Engine Brite; it's a good degreaser, but it reeks like all hell.

I have good luck with simple green. Wet down your cold engine, then spray on a shizz load of simple green, go have a couple beers, then hose it down with hot water if poss. The hot water heater or the hot water hook up for the washing machine works good.

Yea thats what i have a problem with, i dont want to get anything wet thats not supposed to be wet, like the fuse box. If i even do it, then it wont be until spring. It keeps randomly snowing here and these stupid salt trucks throw a lotta salt and sand on the road that eventually gets into the engine.

Well if it doesn't start, then you know you need to replace some electrical stuff, because your engine get very wet driving in the rain.
