Yeah I"m curious about CAI's is it worth getting an expensive one or should i just try to get a cheap one off e-bay. I was thinking of this one

A CAI is a CAI. some may give you half horsepower difference between the two, if that. You don't need to spend 100 bucks on one. It'll only give you like 2-5 hp. Either get a cheap one or make yourself one with a K&N filter, if you know how. At the time I bought mine, I was an idiot. I paid 90 bucks and didn't realize a difference until I started to get deep into performance in cars. Anyway, either buy a cheap one or build it yourself. There ya go.

get one on ebay. its a damn metal/plastic pipe. why pay 200 for it when you can pay a max of like 50. if you have slight fitment issues they are easy to fix. like i said, its a damn pipe. i dont think it should be too hard to troubleshoot a problem or 2. i bought a booms racing cai off ebay and had no problems at all. ive talked to at least 3 others that have and they have all been great.

I got mine off of ebay for 50 bucks shipped. It works great but I do have fitment issues like amrcnidyot said. Mine taps against the engine wall at stops when my engine is idling. I'm sure there is a way to fix it. . . But other than that I would say do Ebay unless you are made of money

If you get one on ebay try to find plastic... over time it will rust out if you get metal... plastic wont .... of corse i have K&N... wich gives your exsaust an amazing sound... I say go K&N or BBK cuz i dont think the e bay ones even do anythign for your car... as to the expensive ones that give more hourse power and better sound....

Summary.... You get what you pay for

hate to tell you this but the k&n and bbk intakes do just as much as the ebay intakes. maybe 1-2hp if your lucky. an intake isnt going to do much. most people dont even bother with them because they are a huge waste of money. oh and almost all of the intakes will be made of either SS or aluminum. so they wont rust.

think about what you bought, its a plastic pipe. it probably cost K&N $5 to make, and the filter probably cost another $5. your payn for the name. thats cool, you can do it if you want but most people dont want to pay that much for a pipe.
