So having a 2001 v-6, do i have an Auto T-5 tranny, or something else?

No T-5 AUTO doesnt exist. You have 4R70W ,weak link but shift kit and stall can fix the problem and make that car haul *** from dig.

Yeah auto with a stall and a shift kit will pound any manual.

forget that torque converter. junk. they are called CNC motorsports but claim their stuff is hand built[sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif]

you get what you pay for. spend the money and get an Edge street edge 3000-3200 single disk lock converter. they are about $500-$600 but are the best out there.

+1 On Jmod being the best

I don't know about transgo I've heard of people having problems with them.
