Has any one out there with a v6 had any issue with the factory header cracking and can any one suggest some aftermarket replacements I have a 2001 mustang v6

You don't have a factory headder, it's an exhaust manifold. The passanger side exhaust manifold is known to crack becaust the a/c drips onto it, a common problem. There are a couple of different brands you can chose from, either shorty(stock length) or long tube headders. Not really. The 99-04 exhaust manifolds are some of the best ford ever produced, they are not restricting until arround 300hp.

okay well the 99-04 ones are ok but the 94-98 headers are a lot better made and will flow better
i just switched to them and they are a great replacement for a cracked stock manifold
