Default New engine

So Im looking at getting a new engine for my 95 simply to have somethign with less mileage on in, maybe do someother things to it before dropping it in my car. Question is what about a 1990 Mercury Sable Wagon that came with the 3.8...would that work? Is there any major problems with that motor? I know my Mustang one would have to have the head gaskets replaced soon (havent blowen yet) and its got 115,000 miles on it. So what about buying the Mercury 3.8 for like $200 and dropping that in? would it fit? Any major problems you guys could see?

Thanks,
Matt

Default RE: New engine

Why not just buy a low mileage split-port engine? More power, less mileage, and still pretty cheap. I decided to do that with mine. I have a Mach 1 motor but I don't really think it is worth it to do the swap. Just to much money and work for a 98 V6. lol
