Default Broken bumper support

Funny story. I was parking on the side of my work and when I got out I was 2 feet away from the curb. So, I thought I would put it into neutral and push the car. HA! That didn't work. So, I put into drive, thinking that my foot was on the brake (which it was the gas). Then, hopped the curb and hit a pillar. Man, did I feel like an idiot.

So, I took it to a friends body shop and he said that I broke the bumper support. He told me that it was going to be $1039 to get it: get the new bumper support, sand off the paint, get in sanded, re-painted, and labor. Do you think he his asking for to much or is that a good deal?

Ok, but the question is. is it hard to put it on the car? Do you think that if I go to a different body shop it would be cheaper?

Nice stang by the way. Question to you SilvrStang, how long have you been in snma?

Bumper or the bumper support.Either way its easy as hell, its only held by like 6 rivet screws and thats all. Shop around but I guarantee you wont find anything cheaper then 700-800 bucks. Thanks man ,Ive been in a club for couple of months now, why?

Cause I live in Cali and my friends are getting this club going called MB Stangs. I was wondering if you give any advice to get a club at least going. We would like to make this grow big. So anything would help.

Oh, and about the car. Do you think if I give him a 1996 Chevy S-10 for the job? It has like 145k miles and the A/C doesn't work.

Core supports are about $80 on ebay
Bumpers can be found at junk yards for under $200
You will have to buy all new hardware to keep your bumper on, about $30-50

Just search around for your cars color and get a used bumper in the same color.

Best of luck
