Currently, I have a 1993 Mustang LX, 4cyl w/ only 40,000 miles on it, I was wondering what I could do to make this car faster right now? Also, I eventually want to put a turbo in it, but I want to get my engine prepared for it first, so what exactly do I need to do to it?

If you really want to get some naturally asperated horse power and prep for forced induction, start with porting your heads and intakes, then bigger valves and cam. With those mods alone you can get that 2.3 to around 240'ish horse power. It's not cheap but well worth it. Of coarse you can start with simple and inexpensive bolt ons like CAI, gears, pulleys....pretty much the same things we always talk about here.

Too high? I was looking at a top end kit that adds 65 horse power N/A. Aren't they like 175 HP stock?

Edit: HAHAHA!!! Never mind, I was thinking of the late model SVO 2.3 Stangs. I should know better then to dought the great OB juan. [sm=smiley36.gif]

Well you can just crank that boost on those older SVO's
They were already making about 210ish flywheel HP from the factory('85.5-'86)

your looking at a starting hp of 105 if you want to prep your motor for a turbo doing things like adding headers CAI and most other things that are quick bolt on will have to be changed when you turbo it so make the choice now if you want to build a NA or a turbo. Racer Walsh the best site I have seen for NA parts.
