Default Question

I really want to flat black my car out because i've never seen a 2002 flat black mustang. I found a guy that said he'd do it for around $800, that includes sanding down paint, spraying a gloss black, then a flat clearcoat, and doing the trunk and door jams. Is i worth it and do u think it would look cool. Or should I sell (which I was thinking about) and get a 5.0?
Thanks for any input- Josh

flat black? so you want your car to look like its in primer?

it looks so stupid.

its going to look like you cant afford to get your car painted so youre leaving it in primer.

that still looks stupid. you know how much nicer that car would look with a fresh coat of gloss paint? right now it looks like its nothing more than a half finished project car.

well first off, your paint looks like its in great shape. 2nd off, i think wheels right now is the least of your worries. or atleast not something that should be first priority. at least you have the nice v6 wheels, and theyre chrome at that.

if you want to do something with your paint, id suggest doing something to the hood, like painting the hood partially black.

but the first thing i would do with your car is replace those headlights. you'll be amazed at how much it makes the car look newer to have a pair of headlights that arent fogged over.

i think with that color of paint, with some tasteful black accents, and a set of black wheels with a chrome lip on them would set that car off.

here's a quick view of what your car would look like with new headlights (03/04 mach/cobra headlights), mach 1 grille delete, chin spoiler, lowered, black bullitts (deep dish in the rear), painted hood gloss black (i think that part of the hood would look good gloos or flat), and the spoiler painted black to match the hood, and the bars removed in the fog light holes.
