Default HELP!!! problem starting

okay so latley when i start my mustang it starts up then slowly looses rpms then jumps back up to 800-1000 then lower again, its kinda like if you are at a stop light and are in 1st and let off the clutch slowly, the rpms drop then you press it in and they go back. the car is idleing rough when it does this. i have oil, synthetic, i have coolant, spark plugs were replaced 4 months ago. the car is getting old ( 180,000) and the only thing i can think of is its the spark plugs or wires. the wires have not been changed since i bought it 4 months ago, i have new ones coming soon in the mail however. it only does this sometimes though, and once i rev it a little and drive it doesnt do it again, only during startup. i do plan on checking my plugs ( and gaps), and wires to see if thats the problem. could it be something else? is there a possiblility that it could be exhaust back up ( for the time being i have a beener riged exhaust that could be a exhaust backup haven)? thanks

Running rough could be that it's loading up on gas (running too rich). I would try some injector cleaner and make sure the MAF sensor is clean. There are a lot of possibilities so you might be better off taking to a shop.
