Default A few questions

I havent had my Mustang for long, so Im still learning the ins and outs of it. My husband recently decided that he wanted to drive me nuts and added a few "improvements" to my car. He broke the tabs on the door panel inserts, and hit something (though he swears up and down he didnt) and cracked the front bumper. So I was wondering if anyone knew where to acquire a new bumper and door inserts? Ive looked over the net, but Im kind of iffy about them. Any personal experience?

Also Ive been wanting to put new gauge lights in. Does anyone have any experience with this? Sorry for all the question, and I know I could just have someone else do all this, but I want to do. Im a hands on kind of girl. Thanks much!

Sounds like fun... (lol j/k)

As far as the bumper, bumpers.com should have a stock replacement bumper. They're like $300something and they come painted. And what part of the door panel are you refering to? The bezel that goes around the window switches and such? Or the whole door panel. www.latemodelrestoration.com should have what you're looking for.

if not latemodelresto, look for asalvage yardaround you and pull them off a wrecked car. the gauge lights are very easy, there are 2 screws that screw up into the dash from the bezel...look at the guages then look up right above the clear plastic and you will see the screws. unscrew both of those then pull your headlight **** all the way out to where your lights are on. turn the *** untill you can see the slit in the plastic where you can stick a small metall screwdriver in there. it will have to be a tiny little screwdriver or something real small but pretty strong. there is a small metal clip that holds the **** on..stick the screwdriver behind it and pull out twards you like you were pulling the **** back to turn on the headlights. it should pop right off, if it doesnt work with it a little and it will. after that the bezzel comes right off, you might have to move the steering wheel down a little to pull it out. there are 4 or so screws holding the gauges in, dont confuse them with the screws that hold the clear plastic cover onto the guages, if you unscrew all of those it wont get you anywhere. they are hex head bolts so make sure you have a good set of allen wrenches. after you unscrew those pull the guages out a little and you will be able to see the plugs, just unplug them and pull the gauges the rest of the way out. you should be able to see where all of the bulbs go now. replace them and install in the oposite order of taking everything apart. when you turn the car on the gauges will do a full sweep then go back down to 0 and then back to where they should be. its normal so dont freak out when it does it.

Ok, so apparently the damage was a bit worse than Id first though. Aside from the entire headlight being busted there are a few other parts in that general area under the hood that are broken. I think theyre all just connectors and anchors, but still....and I cant get the actual headlight to work. I replaced the bulb (twice), but still nothing. The turning signal works, just not the actual lamp....any suggestions?

You want new gauges, or just the lights? Either way removing the instrument cluster is fairly straight forward. Gauges are easy to install, though getting them to line up perfect can be a pain sometimes.
