I have chaged the timing chain o my 85 3.8 ad I can not turn the engine to rotate by hand. Is this normal are am I missing something. HELP PLEASE!!!!

 

what do you mean by hand? With a larger ratchet/breaker baqr on the crank pulley? If that's what you mean try taking out the spark plugs, you may have just gotten on a copression stroke and they are kinda tough to turn through.
