Default tire size

Whats the widest tire you can put on a 02 v6 without any rubbing issues? its on a 17 by 9 cobra rim if that helps?

No, your car will slide long before that hard corner can compress your suspension.

will they rub if the steering is locked one way? or do they clear under all conditions? worried about the front, knowing the back is no issue

in the front or in the back?

you CAN get a 335 in the back, it shouldnt rub if the car isnt lowered. i dont remember off hand if the new edge v6's have a quad shock, i would assume they do, which you would have to remove to get them on though.

want to do 275 40 17 all the way around so they can be roatated and such being the rims are all 17 by 9 why stagger them with tire sizes...... will 275 40 17 rub up front, out back there fine correct?

275's on all fours are fine. that's what i run. they are tempermental though as they love to track road grooves. you will constantly fight the steering wheel on the highway.

i love the handling of 275's but 255/40's are just as good with better manners

funny, i was actually thinking about the same ?. Ive read in some forums that some people have issues with a lowered car, with 275's up front rubbing the sway bar, or the fenderwell, or something. cobra232, im assuming you car is slightly lowered...at full lock, you dont have any issues with 275s up front rubbing? if it will, maybe 255's up front, with 315's in the back, might be a nice combo, though i dont think anyone runs that combo..seems like they always do 275s up front, with 315s in the back.

Go with 275s in the back and 245s in the front. My buddy has 275s all around and it rubs plus hes lowered. Mines lowered and I have no problems with my 245s up front
